About the role
- This global role within Medtronic’s Diabetes business focuses on core cash management, risk management, and financial operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury for Diabetes, the Treasury Program Manager will play a critical role in managing cash flows, optimizing working capital, mitigating financial risks, and driving strategic treasury initiatives across domestic and international operations. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Cash Management: Control and monitor domestic and international cash flows, including bank accounts, investment returns, interest expenses, and long/short-term debt. Review cash requirements, plan, and execute short-term investments and borrowings to optimize daily working capital. Assume responsibility for corporate cashiering, accounts receivable deposits, disbursements, and check preparation as needed. Risk Management and Financial Analysis: Forecast, analyze, and report on investment yields, cash positions, sources/uses of funds, and economic trends to support decision-making. Recommend favorable debt and investment instruments to mitigate financial risks and improve financial outcomes. Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for investment decisions. Program Leadership and Execution: Manage treasury programs with broad and ongoing impact, ensuring well-defined plans and delivery methodologies are followed. Provide input to establish program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Oversee program processes and performance, addressing complex problems that impact multiple workstreams, departments, or specialties. Modify program management processes to improve efficiency and outcomes while maintaining accountability for customer satisfaction. Communication and Collaboration: Lead meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors. Conduct briefings for higher-level management and influence stakeholders to gain cooperation on program execution plans. Solve issues through information exchange and active persuasion, fostering collaboration across matrixed teams. Leadership and Team Management: Direct and review the work of professionals and vendors, ensuring successful program execution and alignment with organizational goals. Lead matrixed teams with accountability for program performance, without direct hire/fire authority. Actively prioritize, plan, and direct responsibilities for team members to achieve program objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing processes, projects, and tactics within treasury or a related field
- Advanced knowledge and skills in cash and risk management, with an understanding of cross-functional impacts
