About the role
- Provide strategic leadership and sales direction to meet and exceed revenue and market share objectives for the Neurovascular (NV) business.
- Drive sales execution across district teams and ensure collaboration across sales to leverage key customer relationships.
- Responsible for coaching and development of management teams and drive talent development and retention strategies for the area.
- Supports the development and/or implement business strategies for existing and potential accounts.
- Identifies opportunities and develop new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
- Assesses the need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conduct competitive analysis, and implement strategies.
- Assesses, develops and manages leadership team through effective development opportunities and performance management.
- Promotes and sell Medtronic's Neurovascular products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors, surgeons, nurses, and key opinion leaders.
- Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Neurovascular products and/or services.
- Provides clinical and technical support during cases and informs the clinician of patient treatment options.
- Promotes education of the company's products and/or services.
- Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities.
- Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
- Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
- Establishes effective relationships and collaborates with other departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
Requirements
- Requires advanced sales, business development and management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple functions, country, region or business
- Possesses depth and breadth of technical/ professional knowledge, within the context of the complete organization.
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 15 years of relevant sales experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant sales experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience.
