About the role

  • Sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies ENT products to hospitals, physicians and other approved customers within the territory to attain established quotas and sales objectives.
  • Conduct face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses and other key purchase influencers to demonstrate, in-service and sell capital and disposable products.
  • Plan, strategize and successfully execute sales calls to hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers and doctors’ offices in the territory.
  • Use own vehicle and transport demonstration equipment and inventory; maintain company owned property in good working condition.
  • Provide support and service to clinical personnel in a surgical environment.
  • Report competitive activity within the territory to the Region Manager and maintain all records and reports as requested.
  • Work or attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory; travel approximately 50% overnight and transport equipment to customers’ premises.
  • Execute Sales Action Plans and perform other duties as assigned; comply with Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those 5 years in medical sales; or Bachelor's Degree AND 3 years of Medtronic Neuroscience (Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist or Sales Rep I experience plus 2 years of prior clinical or medical sales experience.
  • Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills (Nice to Have)
  • Must reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Valid driver's license
  • Active vehicle insurance policy
  • Driving record will be reviewed
  • Ability to use own vehicle and transport heavy pieces of inventory
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently
  • Regularly required to be independently mobile, talk, hear, sit, reach, stand, walk, use hands, and adjust vision focus
  • Must be able to carry products and handle demonstration equipment (approx. 30% physical handling)
  • Comply with credentialing requirements at the hospitals or clinics supported
