About the role
- Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma)
- Diagrams and evaluates existing processes
- Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams
- Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
- Collects data to identify root cause of problems
- Measures performance against process requirements
- Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls
- Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
- May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
- Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes
- Communicates team progress
- Performs cost and benefit analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR An advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
- Experience with cross-border or multi-site process improvement projects
- Advanced Lean or Six Sigma certification (e.g., Black Belt, Master Black Belt)
- Previous consulting experience in operational excellence or process transformation
- Demonstrated success leading projects in highly regulated industries (e.g., medical device, pharma, aerospace, automotive)
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Minitab)
- Change management certification or significant experience with organizational change initiatives
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for executive and frontline audiences
- Experience developing and delivering training for Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies
- Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, due to international travel and cross-border collaboration
- Familiarity with digital transformation, Industry 4.0, or advanced manufacturing technologies
- Track record of mentoring or coaching other process improvement professionals
- Experience with succession planning and talent development
- Strong financial acumen, including cost/benefit analysis and budget management
- High adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
