About the role

  • Conduct in-depth failure analysis to identify root causes and contributing factors
  • Analyze trends in reported failures to identify areas of improvement
  • Categorize and prioritize customer complaints for investigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights
  • Collaborate with product owners and design teams to enhance product reliability
  • Communicate investigation results to stakeholders and customers
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and contribute to improvement strategies
  • Work closely with product owners, design teams, and other stakeholders to implement solutions
  • Implement reliability improvements and clearly communicate findings to internal teams and affected customers

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth root cause analysis using log data in complex robotic system
  • Passion for continuous improvement in process, troubleshooting techniques and root cause investigation methodology , such as “cause map”
  • Experience with integrating hardware and software in complex robotic system
  • Experience with data analysis and trend identification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead or work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • In-person availability: working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite
  • Nice to have: Experience with Medical Product verification and FDA guidance
  • Nice to have: Work experience in highly regulated industries such as medical or military
  • Nice to have: Experience in developing automation scripts to analyze test data
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques
  • Nice to have: Knowledgeable of Linux OS, Matlab, Python
  • Nice to have: Ability to work with QA to ensure system integration procedures meet Quality and Regulatory needs
  • Nice to have: Ability to manage, track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations
  • Nice to have: Ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines to drive resolution of issues
  • Nice to have: Experience with product design and improvement initiatives
