About the role
- Conduct in-depth failure analysis to identify root causes and contributing factors
- Analyze trends in reported failures to identify areas of improvement
- Categorize and prioritize customer complaints for investigation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights
- Collaborate with product owners and design teams to enhance product reliability
- Communicate investigation results to stakeholders and customers
- Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and contribute to improvement strategies
- Work closely with product owners, design teams, and other stakeholders to implement solutions
- Implement reliability improvements and clearly communicate findings to internal teams and affected customers
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth root cause analysis using log data in complex robotic system
- Passion for continuous improvement in process, troubleshooting techniques and root cause investigation methodology , such as “cause map”
- Experience with integrating hardware and software in complex robotic system
- Experience with data analysis and trend identification
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lead or work effectively with cross-functional teams
- In-person availability: working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite
- Nice to have: Experience with Medical Product verification and FDA guidance
- Nice to have: Work experience in highly regulated industries such as medical or military
- Nice to have: Experience in developing automation scripts to analyze test data
- Nice to have: Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques
- Nice to have: Knowledgeable of Linux OS, Matlab, Python
- Nice to have: Ability to work with QA to ensure system integration procedures meet Quality and Regulatory needs
- Nice to have: Ability to manage, track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations
- Nice to have: Ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines to drive resolution of issues
- Nice to have: Experience with product design and improvement initiatives
- Nice to have: Knowledge of industry best practices for reliability and performance engineering
