Partner closely with the center-led category managers to understand and implement key pan-Medtronic strategies.
Represent and share network and site-specific requirements and strategies with the center-led category management organization.
Partner closely with key functions that support supply management (e.g., legal, finance, quality/compliance).
Ensure that manufacturing sites are being adequately supported; this includes but is not limited to consistent engagement with key stakeholders, developing and sharing dashboards with information on key metrics at a defined cadence, conducting site-level diagnostics and leading workshops to identify savings opportunities, managing supplier quality, and ensuring supply continuity.
Educate on key indirect supply management initiatives and policies.
Develop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and support the development of a baseline for sourcing cost reduction efforts.
Initiate and implement appropriate category strategy changes.
Create and establish internal and external benchmark analysis, including gap analysis, and required actions to achieve functional advantage.
Lead supplier negotiation efforts.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, information systems, business discipline, plus 5+ years of work experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, operations, or any functional area with demonstrated analytical and project-based acumen
Category Management experience in MRO or Operations categories
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
Ability to manage and influence stakeholders
