About the role
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with decision-makers at self-insured employers, benefits advisors, and captives.
- Introduce and position capability-based solutions tailored to customer needs through innovative, consultative selling strategies.
- Understand the competitive differentiation of various claims analytics, contract management and administrative management capabilities that brokers, employers and captives leverage for decision-making and documentation.
- Develop and manage indirect channel partnerships with brokers/advisors, employer consortia, law firms, private equity firms, and other organizations with influence in the self-funded employer market.
- Create and execute comprehensive territory and pipeline strategies to achieve sales targets and drive growth.
- Partner with MedeAnalytics Marketing to lead go-to-market initiatives and drive brand and market awareness across early, mid and late stage client development.
- Partner with marketing and broader MedeAnalytics sales team to craft solutions for existing customers.
- Leverage data-driven prospecting techniques to identify high-potential opportunities and engage effectively.
- Conduct targeted outreach through phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads, shepherd them through the pipeline process and close deals.
- Navigate complex buying processes, including leading and managing RFP responses, to exceed multi-million-dollar annual sales quotas.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing in-depth insights into the self-insured employer landscape, regulatory requirements, and the role of benefit consultant-advisors.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and other forums as a subject matter expert in healthcare benefits and MedeAnalytics capabilities.
- Offer market insights and feedback to influence product development and drive innovation.
- Evaluate market competitors and identify opportunities for differentiation to enhance product offerings.
- Monitor industry trends, influencing value proposition and marketing updates to ensure MedeAnalytics is recognized as a thought leader.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS-based or service-based technology sales targeting employer-sponsored benefits markets.
- Proven success in selling to HR leaders and CFOs and brokers/advisors individually and to their firms.
- Deep understanding of healthcare benefits and employee benefits management.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed multi-million-dollar sales quotas and navigate complex sales environments.
- Experience building and scaling sales and business development teams within an early-stage business setting.
- Expertise in self-insured employer dynamics, insurance provider marketplaces, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong consultative sales skills to construct and deliver compelling, tailored solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and CRM platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
