About the role

  • Leading senior-level commercial discussions and negotiations with air ambulance providers to establish competitive, sustainable rate structures and service commitments
  • Managing and strengthening strategic partnerships with private insurers and regional healthcare stakeholders
  • Owning partner economics while ensuring agreements support reliable, compliant, and high-quality service delivery
  • Analyzing claims activity, utilization trends, and financial drivers to inform renewal strategies and long-term partnership decisions
  • Collaborating with underwriting, claims, and transport teams to align negotiated terms with pricing strategy, portfolio risk expectations, and operational realities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve partnership efficiency, structure, and long-term value
  • Communicating partnership strategy, risks, and outcomes clearly to executive leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare contracting, insurance negotiation, business development, or related commercial roles
  • Demonstrated success managing complex partnerships and leading rate or contract negotiations
  • Experience working with health insurers, government health schemes, or air medical transport providers (strongly preferred)
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret claims data, pricing models, and utilization patterns
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build trust across cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, regionally distributed environment
  • Willingness to travel across the Caribbean region (up to 25%)
