About the role
- Independently evaluate functional ability of patients using standardized tests, clinical observation, and patient/family interview
- Create individualized treatment and educational plans and provide patient/family counseling and training
- Consult closely with multidisciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies
- Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate
- Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy
- Develop and implement innovative and specific treatment plans to maximize the patient's functional potential
- Contribute to program development
- Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment
- Timely documentation of client progress and complete billing logs ethically and accurately for occupational therapy services provided
Requirements
- Current state license in OT
- NBCOT: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- At least 0-1 years of experience working as an OT with pediatric population
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with clinicians of varied backgrounds
