About the role
- Participate in robust clinical experiences in patient care practices
- Transition from academic setting to professional environment
- Work with neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
- Receive oversight from licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) preceptor
- Engage in professional development and didactic clinical competency enhancement
- Take care of acutely ill and injured patients in healthcare environment
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited RCP program in the last year
- Less than twelve months of work experience
- Current and unrestricted State of Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License or temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR (American Heart Association)
- Additional certifications may be required based on respiratory unit requirements
- Respiratory residents to complete ALCS/PALS as part of the residency program requirements, provided through the program
