About the role

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow DLH’s disability and LTC administration, audit, and consulting services
  • Leverage an existing network of industry contacts to generate new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships
  • Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and solutions tailored to client needs
  • Lead relationship management with key accounts, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects
  • Stay current with market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes affecting disability and LTC products
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to shape DLH’s strategic growth priorities
  • Represent DLH at industry conferences, forums, and networking events
  • Contribute to the development of pricing, compensation structures, and other business models to support growth
  • Demonstrate and support company values
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • This role is a full-time, remote position.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the insurance industry, specifically in Disability Insurance and/or Long-Term Care Insurance
  • In-depth knowledge of product structures, policyholder services, claims, and administrative processes
  • Proven track record of generating new business opportunities and closing deals in the insurance sector
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with C-level and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a collaborative leadership environment
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration
