Reporting into the CUO, responsible for managing a Portfolio team within Underwriting Management and overseeing underwriting activities for Asta’s managed clients.
Support the CUO and manage a Portfolio within the Underwriting Performance function, ensuring robust underwriting management framework.
Act as interface between Asta, managed clients and Lloyd’s on underwriting performance and strategy.
Report business plans, underwriting performance and oversight to relevant boards and committees.
Continuously review and enhance underwriting performance oversight capabilities offered to managed clients.
Manage and develop individuals within the Underwriting Performance function and contribute to senior management team.
Oversee development and enhancement of UWM Framework in line with Lloyd’s principles, regulatory requirements and market best practice.
Participate in strategic discussions with syndicates and lead onboarding and Lloyd’s 'Make it Happen' processes.
Manage key underwriting relationships with Asta clients and Lloyd’s.

Extensive underwriting management experience recently gained within a senior management role. Experience of managing regulatory relationships e.g. Lloyd’s/PRA.
Able to demonstrate proactive participation in boards/committees.
Sufficient knowledge of all functions and activities of an insurance entity to effectively identify and manage corporate risks and support the CEO in successfully developing the business.
Broad understanding of a Lloyd’s Managing Agency including a good knowledge of the governance, regulatory & financial environment in which it operates.
