About the role
- Lead a team of engineers to adapt and integrate products into customer vehicle platforms
- Function as the primary technical liaison between R&D/Product Management teams and automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Ensure all technical solutions meet industry standards and customer specific requirements
- Conduct and oversee design reviews and application sign-off procedures
- Ensure DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) development according to customer requirements
- Manage engineering change requests to ensure technical integrity and quality
- Actively promote products to OEMs, Tier 1 and ECU manufacturers
- Support customers with technical evaluations and design-in decisions
- Maintain and develop the technical interface to the customer, focusing on the customer's future technical development plans and technical requirements
- Organize and conduct technical workshops and product presentations
- Identify technological trends in wire harness, ECU, and electronic architectures
- Analyze market potential for vertical integration products and assist in the customer component approval process
- Build and manage team of application engineers, providing mentorship, performance reviews and career development
- Work closely with headquarters R&D and application engineering
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets for multiple product launches
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechatronics, or similar fields
- Experience in automotive engineering, ideally in wire harness, connectors, semiconductors, or automotive electronics
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Understanding of wire harness and PCB design, signal integrity, and electrical interface standards
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills in English, as well as a high level of technical understanding
