About the role
- Interpret protocols from a financial perspective
- Develop clinical trial budgets, negotiate pricing, and present budget proposals to executive management
- Create new budgets in Excel based upon Sarah Cannon cost and charge information
- Negotiate budgets with Sponsors/CROs for favorable outcomes
- Maintain and communicate budget status to executive management
- Proactively solicit input from clinical staff and management for timely clarifications
- Attend protocol and budget review meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 1 year work experience utilizing basic financial principles, Excel, and other data management tools (e.g. CTMS)
- At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas
- Familiarity with clinical research and/or medical terminology
- Functional knowledge of clinical trials, preferred
- Analytical decision-making skills
- Project management capabilities
- Strong negotiation and professional communication skills
