About the role

  • The Real Estate Design Manager oversees project activities from project conception through project closeout.
  • Collaborates with the Business Partner, Director of Project Delivery, and Project Managers to maintain a portfolio of capital projects.
  • Engages with Delivery Team and Business Unit leadership to develop complete project scope and goals.
  • Requests and analyzes client data to inform and substantiate a design solution.
  • Prepares site/massing diagrams for conceptualization.
  • Meets with the Authority Having Jurisdiction alongside the external vendor.
  • Facilitates design iterations per task orders.
  • Ensures client understanding of contract documents and scoping for client sign-off.
  • Leverages Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and mock-ups as necessitated and allowable within the budget.
  • Reviews architectural and engineering documents at each stage.
  • Reports schedule and budget targets; escalates risks.
  • Updates project notes and tasks in management platforms.
  • Executes change management for special requests.
  • Encourages design innovation and documents best practices.
  • Performs pre- and post-occupancy evaluations and reports findings.
  • Collaborates with FFE Specialist for coordination of finishes and schedules.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of design management experience
  • Registered Architect or Licensed Interior Designer
  • 3+ years of healthcare design experience, especially oncology clinics
  • AutoCAD & Bluebeam proficiency; Revit a plus
  • Self-directed & motivated
  • Professional registration preferred
  • Experience with WELL or LEED projects preferred
