About the role
- Work in collaboration with the Grant Finance Manager to implement the project’s infrastructure and systems
- Manage project implementation finances including cost management, reconciliation of accounts, and reporting
- Collaborate with Finance colleagues to streamline project-related financial data
- Assist Grant Finance Manager in analyzing project costs and providing financial decision support
- Continually evaluate best practices compared to internal systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and GAAP.
- Knowledge of USG Rules and Regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and 2CFR200.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
- Strong budgeting and analytical/problem solving skills.
- Experience managing project accounting for federal, state, or municipal grants specifically within the public health sector.
