About the role

  • Perform all federal and non-federal project financial operations.
  • Create and update project annual budgets and account codes.
  • Manage project accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain a schedule of financial grant deliverables.
  • Apply and ensure compliance with industry best practices and government regulations.
  • Prepare project financial reports and analysis for project management and donors.
  • Support audit activities related to various projects.
  • Support training for project leaders on finance and accounting procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • 6-10 years of progressive experience in financial grant management, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, GAAP, and federal awards.
  • Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of USG Rules and Regulations, including FAR and 22CFR200.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
  • Strong experience in managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and project (donor) reporting.
  • Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables.
