About the role
- Perform all federal and non-federal project financial operations.
- Create and update project annual budgets and account codes.
- Manage project accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain a schedule of financial grant deliverables.
- Apply and ensure compliance with industry best practices and government regulations.
- Prepare project financial reports and analysis for project management and donors.
- Support audit activities related to various projects.
- Support training for project leaders on finance and accounting procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in financial grant management, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, GAAP, and federal awards.
- Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of USG Rules and Regulations, including FAR and 22CFR200.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
- Strong experience in managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and project (donor) reporting.
- Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables.
