We are recruiting for a Bilingual Legal Assistant for the Audit Team to join our team in our Quebec City, Montreal , Toronto , Vancouver or Calgary office
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant and will be responsible for supporting the national audit inquiry team by managing requests and drafting response letters, assisting business law paralegals and ensuring accurate document filing and coordinating tasks among resource groups

As a Bilingual Legal Assistant, Audit Team, you will be: Supporting the national audit inquiry team by handling audit inquiry requests, including: First response: gathering all relevant information to conduct an audit inquiry and entering it in the national audit inquiry platform; Research and circulation: conducting research on entities under inquiry, reviewing conflict issues, circulating inquiries, and collecting responses; Response letters: drafting response letters for review by supervising legal counsel
Providing daily support to business law paralegals
Coordinating and allocating tasks to various resource groups such as document specialists, administrative clerks and billers as needed, ensuring timely completion
Maintaining and updating professional knowledge and technical skills by identifying and pursuing training opportunities
Ensuring the quality and accuracy of all work and completing assignments within reasonable timeframes
Requirements
Legal assistant diploma (or equivalent)
Minimum of three years’ experience as a legal assistant
Bilingual (French and English, oral and written)
Comprehensive knowledge of legal terminology and judicial rules and procedures
Exceptional attention to detail, with advanced word processing, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills
Ability to complete tasks with speed and accuracy
Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines; organizational strength and versatility; ability to work under pressure
Ability to oversee files while adhering to deadlines with minimal supervision
Highest level of discretion and respect for confidentiality
