About the role
- Identify and prioritize high-value rare and orphan specialty drug markets aligned with the company’s long-term growth strategy
- Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies for new and emerging segments
- Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, regulatory considerations, and growth potential
- Build multi-year strategic plans to capture opportunities within specialty verticals
- Design and implement go-to-market strategies tailored to specialty market customers
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to build offerings that meet segment-specific requirements
- Drive pipeline generation and revenue growth across targeted markets
- Establish pricing, positioning, and value propositions that resonate with specialty market buyers
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Finance
- Ensure alignment between corporate strategy and specialty market initiatives
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships, alliances, and channel relationships to accelerate market penetration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 12-15 years of progressive leadership experience in conceptualizing and executing commercial strategies, business development, or market development
- Proven track record of launching or expanding businesses in rare and orphan specialty drug marketplace
- Experience developing go-to market strategies and driving measurable growth
- Background working in complex B2B environments preferred.
