About the role
- Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products
- Work in agile teams with algorithm development
- Collaborate closely with Swedish 3D center of excellence and US colleagues
- Conduct dialogue with stakeholders and transform requirements into realized products
- Develop software in C, C++, Go, Python, JavaScript and Rust mainly in a Linux environment
- Lead production of the Globe in 3D from satellite images and work with the satellite archive
- Implement stereo algorithms, mesh and voxel processing, georegistration of images and real-time video sequences
- Work with Maxar 3D Production software used by ~80 operators, HPC technologies on-prem and in the cloud
- Deploy and support 3D Content Management Systems at customer sites
Requirements
- MSc degree in computer science, electrical engineering, signal processing or related area
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware architectures
- Solid understanding of operating systems concepts
- Knowledge of complex data structures
- Familiar with memory management and memory layout
- Skilled in process concurrency - processes/threads, synchronization, etc.
- Familiar with STL
- Solid understanding of linear algebra
- Demonstrated experience in C and C++
- Demonstrated experience in GO
- Demonstrated experience in Linux
- Demonstrated experience in Algorithm development
- Experience with C, C++, Go, Python, Javascript and Rust (languages used)
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to apply for and hold a US Government Secret National Security Clearance
- Preferred: Experience in image processing
- Preferred: System design for software products
- Preferred: Understanding of sensor calibration and sensor models
- Preferred: Machine Learning
- Preferred: Kubernetes, Docker and/or Ansible
- Preferred: Microservice architecture
- Preferred: Database management
- Preferred: Geodata
- Preferred: Cyber security
