About the role
- Preparation of legal opinions and memoranda on matters related to litigation strategy;
- Representation in judicial challenges to taxes improperly levied at municipal, state and federal levels, at all stages of proceedings;
- Support in drafting defenses in tax enforcement/execution proceedings, covering a wide range of taxes;
- Filing of lawsuits to litigate various federal, state and municipal tax issues;
- Monitoring leading cases before the STF (Federal Supreme Court) and STJ (Superior Court of Justice);
- Direct participation in numerous high-profile cases as amicus curiae for institutional representation.
Requirements
- Law degree (completed);
- Postgraduate degree and/or specialization in related areas is a plus;
- Prior experience in a law firm is preferred;
- Experience in judicial tax litigation;
- Proven ability to manage a significant volume of deadlines;
- Knowledge of tax law and civil procedure;
- Advanced English is considered an advantage.
