About the role
- Lead the design and implementation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex data warehousing and analytical systems, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and integrity
- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and working closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation
- Engage in hands-on design, development, and optimization activities utilizing Snowflake and Databricks (or similar modern data lake/warehouse platforms), including performance tuning and resource management
- Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams; lead requirements gathering sessions, present solutions, and manage expectations
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system flows, data dictionaries, and operational procedures; ensure data quality and adherence to data governance standards
- Develop and execute test plans, ensuring the delivered solution meets all functional and performance requirements before deployment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Proven, in-depth experience with various data modeling techniques (e.g., Dimensional Modeling, 3NF ) and practical application in large-scale data environments
- Significant hands-on experience working with and developing solutions on cloud-based data platforms, specifically Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable and effective in a customer-facing capacity
- Preferred: Experience with a major cloud provider's ecosystem (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Preferred: Familiarity with data governance tools and best practices
- Preferred: Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
