About the role
- Design new equipment, develop innovative concepts, modify existing solutions, and prepare technical drawings and specifications
- Perform the design calculations required for all projects
- Carry out sizing/dimensioning calculations to ensure designs meet requirements
- Design mechanical parts in 3D
- Write functional requirements for new machines under development
- Provide technical support to sales, production, service, and purchasing teams
- Communicate with suppliers for adaptation projects
- When required, participate in the installation of systems at customer sites
- Perform any other related duties as needed
Requirements
- Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
- Good ability to communicate in English (spoken and written) to collaborate with our English-speaking clients and suppliers
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is an asset
- Structured, organized, creative, and team-oriented
- Strong interest in automation
