About the role

  • Develop and execute integrated corporate affairs strategies that combine corporate communications, government relations, and advocacy, including the design and delivery of coordinated public affairs and communications campaigns with public sector officials, NGOs, and aligned industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society, ensuring consistent and credible engagement.
  • Lead regional corporate communications efforts, including media strategy, messaging, and issues management.
  • Represent Match Group’s positions with national and local stakeholders, directly and through coalitions and trade associations, and act as a spokesperson at industry events, policy forums, and coalitions where appropriate.
  • Facilitate, prepare, and support high-level engagements between company executives and government, regulatory, and industry leaders, including briefings, messaging, and materials.
  • Develop and manage a network of trusted third-party validators and advocates to support and amplify corporate narratives and public policy positions.
  • Partner closely with internal teams (Business, Legal, Safety) and external advisors to ensure aligned messaging, coordinated communications, and effective policy engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of corporate narratives, media materials, policy positions, white papers, and consultation responses on issues relevant to the region.

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in communications, and government relations, public affairs, or public policy.
  • You have built relationships within the media ecosystem across key Asian markets, as well as with government ministries, regulatory agencies, and industry bodies.
  • You bring an understanding of the region’s media, legislative and regulatory practices and processes, particularly in technology, consumer protection, and digital policy.
  • You are able to demonstrate success in shaping public narratives, policy outcomes and managing advocacy campaigns.
  • You’re fluent in English – proficiency in Japanese is a strong plus. You are an excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively, and willingness to travel on occasion to do so.
  • You have a proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment, and to contribute to business goals by identifying and anticipating opportunities and risks.
