About the role

  • Setting the strategy for end-to-end business lineage of critical data (sub-domain and elements)
  • Responsible for business data modelling of one or more data domains
  • Empowering data stewards to drive catalog completeness and review
  • Tracking and reporting key metrics for data governance to data consumers and senior management
  • Owning the business data model for one or more investment domains
  • Collaborating with ETX to translate business logical model into technical models
  • Liaising with Data Owners to ensure requirements are reflected in the business data model
  • Managing interactions between operational and technology teams
  • Establishing KPIs and tracking data governance adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Data Science or related degree
  • 8+ years of experience as an Investment Data Product Consultant or similar role
  • 5+ years of proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R)
  • 5+ years of experience in working with Investment Data and understanding needs across a wide variety of instruments including public and private assets, bank loans etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, insurance, or related industry
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation or Data360
  • Data Modelling, Data Governance or Data Science training and certification
  • Experience with Eagle STAR, Eagle Pace and Eagle DataMart is a plus
  • Experience working with IBOR systems such as Aladdin and Simcorp is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly collaborative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, investment management workflows, and data governance principles.
  • Experience with data quality tools, data lineage tracking, and metadata management.
