About the role
- The Investment Analyst will draw on knowledge of financial models and investment instruments to develop solutions for a fast-paced market-driven environment.
- Works with portfolio managers, quantitative strategists and subject matter experts to produce, improve and develop reporting and analytic capabilities in Investment Management.
- Role requires Python, SQL and VBA programming ability.
- Supports MassMutual’s annuity hedging (VA, FIA and Ascend) and asset-liability management (ALM) teams.
- The team focuses on researching new ideas and strategies and developing technologies and analytics across MassMutual’s hedging programs.
- Regular meetings and updates with team and management; participates in a hybrid work model.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math or related degree
- 1+ years of experience with fixed income and derivatives models
- 1+ years of experience in financial instruments
- 1+ years of SQL and VBA coding experience
- Python coding background (preferred)
- Proclivity for continuous improvement
- Strong quantitative expertise: statistics, mathematics, and computer systems
- Strong understanding of asset-liability management in a life insurance company
