About the role
- Directs, plans, and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel
- May provide direct patient care
- Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff onboarding, training, and education
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff
- Ensure a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff
- Coordinating unit activities with other hospital departments
- Develops and implements staffing plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree preferred
- Registered Nurse [RN - State License]
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS] preferred
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
- Nursing experience 2-3 years required
- Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred
- Cardiac experience preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups
