About the role
- Support and work closely with the Head Market & Traded Credit Risk to develop and implement market & traded credit risk management policies.
- Ensure compliance to CBUAE’s ‘Regulations & Standards’ on Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk.
- Enhance and track the KPIs in the TCMs ‘Risk Appetite Statement’.
- Ensure appropriate valuation techniques are applied on products subject to mark to market mechanism.
- Lead the development and monitoring of models and processes for risk management.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with Treasury and other departments for limit structures and risk monitoring.
- Quantify market and credit risks and calculate regulatory capital charges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on market and credit risk.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially CBUAE and Basel norms.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment methods.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and models.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
- Experience in project management and driving process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with IFRS 9 and other relevant regulatory and accounting standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
