About the role
- Act as a data subject matter expert for insurance and/or finance datasets
- Partner with BI/report developers to guide correct data sourcing, joins, and metric definitions
- Translate business questions into data-driven insights and analytical frameworks
- Validate data, investigate anomalies, and ensure reporting accuracy
- Support UAT, production validation, and ongoing data quality efforts
- Document business definitions, KPIs, and data logic
- Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to improve data usability
Requirements
- 6-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst / BI Analyst, or data-focused Business Analyst
- Strong SQL skills for data exploration and validation
- Python Hands-on coding
- Proven ability to understand business processes and translate them into data insights
- Experience in insurance (brokerage, agency, carrier, MGA) and/or finance (FP&A, accounting, revenue, cost)
- Experience working closely with report developers or BI teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in an offshore delivery model
