About the role

  • You will work closely with the Middle Market Leader Germany and take responsibility for all matters related to clients and prospects in the Middle Market (MM) segment across your region — from acquisition and account management to client retention.
  • You are responsible for developing and successfully implementing the go-to-market and sales strategy together with the Middle Market Leader Germany.
  • You are responsible for implementing best practices in client management and sales for the MM segment in the region.
  • As a strong leader, you will operate on-site in close cooperation with the other regional MM leaders and the Risk Management Leader at your location.
  • Together with the Risk Management Leader at your location, you share responsibility for the site’s/region’s total revenue and thereby make a decisive contribution to the business success of Marsh GmbH.

Requirements

  • Confident presence and extensive experience in dealing with C-level contacts and insurance decision-makers, combined with strong social and emotional competence and teamwork skills.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills enabling you to build and lead effective teams.
  • Solid knowledge in applying and teaching sales approaches (such as BBE, SCE and CVX).
  • Excellent sales skills and a pronounced customer-centric mindset.
  • Strong client orientation, reliability and personal accountability.
  • Several years’ tenure at Marsh or long-standing experience in a comparable role.
  • Deep understanding of the Marsh organisation, our product and service offering, and relevant processes and workflows.
  • A strong network with clients and prospects as well as within the Marsh organisation.
  • Demonstrated new-business production over multiple years and a relevant number of new clients (Middle Market focus).
  • Comprehensive understanding of economic and complex interrelationships.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
