About the role
- Utilize exceptional client servicing skills to maintain and expand client relationships within your own assigned book of accounts
- Provide professional insurance services by coordinating with Producers, Underwriters, Service Team members and other departments
- Provide coverage analysis and risk management recommendations
- Complete applications, preparation of submissions, and negotiations with carriers
- Prepare proposals according to agency standards
- Resolve issues related to billing, policy changes, and respond to policy coverage questions
- Prepare exposure comparison, premium comparisons, renewal reviews and renewal proposals
- Participate in continuing education to maintain a P&C license and stay current with regulations
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant insurance brokerage experience
- Active Property & Casualty license
- Experience in managing assigned accounts through the client life cycle, including the renewal process
- Solid coverage, underwriting and risk management knowledge
- Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills are essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct presentations and speak to diverse groups
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as agency management systems and web browser software
- Exceptional time management and organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration or other related fields (preferred)
