About the role
- Communicate thoroughly with clients and vendors to ensure a common understanding of each issue.
- Market new and renewal business, maintain rapport with clients and carrier representatives.
- Develop effective business relationships with assigned clients through day-to-day services assistance.
- Act as the liaison between client and vendors/carriers to resolve issues.
- Assist with marketing data gathering including assembly of census, claims, and policy specific information for benefit plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of human resources and/or benefit insurance experience.
- Familiarity with insurance company markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with clients, vendors, and co-workers, and to maintain a positive team environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to negotiate, evaluate client needs, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter with strong time management skills, capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
