About the role
- Manage consulting engagements with 2,000+ life employers regarding their medical, dental, life, and disability benefit plans and programs
- Negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage
- Provide financial, contract and administrative analysis and manage portions of projects
- Support underwriting, data analytics, and partner with actuaries for funding analysis
- Develop overall client strategy, present benchmark data, and ensure plan changes are implemented
- Demonstrate project management skills and manage deliverables and junior colleagues
- Manage RFP process with health insurance carriers and internal analysts
- Establish carrier/vendor relationships and handle administration tasks (eligibility, claims, billing, contracts)
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefit plans
- Client facing experience in a consulting capacity
- Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the health & benefits field
- Life & Health License (preferred)
