💰 $116,600 - $233,300 per year
About the role
- Serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory, risk, compliance and ethics issues for MMA’s regulated insurance brokerage businesses
- Support execution of all elements of the Company’s compliance program
- 3-day per week in-office requirement (hybrid role)
- Provide advice across business insurance (including P&C), employee health & benefits, and private lines practices
- Develop and participate in regulatory compliance, policy and procedure implementation, training, monitoring and investigations
- Track, analyze and report on regulatory developments relevant to MMA’s business
- Design and update policies and procedures
- Conduct compliance monitoring and drive remedial actions
- Develop and conduct compliance training and communications
- Deliver timely and practical advice to business colleagues and build/maintain relationships with compliance liaisons
- Conduct investigations into potential violations of policies, laws and regulations
- Support broader Marsh McLennan compliance initiatives
- Report to MMA’s Chief Compliance Officer
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
- Comfortable working in commercial insurance (including P&C), employee health & benefits, private lines and retirement services
- Ability to address licensing, surplus lines, professional standards, transparency and disclosure, privacy and data protection, and M&A due diligence and integration
- Strong knowledge of laws related to rebating, referral fees, surplus lines; trade sanctions; cybersecurity, data protection and privacy (HIPAA); conflicts of interest; third-party risk
- Personal integrity and sound judgement
- Ability to collaborate effectively and uphold ethical standards under pressure
- Demonstrable experience leading compliance operations or governance
- Proficiency in analyzing and utilizing data sets to create dynamic dashboard reports
- Strong project management skills
- Track record of advising senior business partners on compliance matters
- Ability to analyze strategic, commercial and operational issues and provide practical solutions
- Exceptional business judgment and strategic thinking
- Strong emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
