About the role
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc.
- Apply strong expertise in AI through use of machine learning, data mining, and statistical models to design, prototype and build next generation ML engines and services.
- Own AI solution design, platform integration, and deployment standards, serving as the primary technical authority for AI capabilities within North America Supply.
- Use machine learning techniques, optimization, simulation, visualizations, & statistical analysis to gain insight into various data sets – some readily available, and some you create and curate yourself.
- Create repeatable, interpretable, dynamic and scalable models that are seamlessly incorporated into analytic data products.
- Guide a team of data scientists and functional experts to create fit for purpose solutions using cutting edge analytical and AI methodologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s in computer science, operations research, data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field. Masters preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a comparable technical role, preferably within complex, regulated, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Supply chain.
- Strong experience working with modern AI platforms and data integration frameworks.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar platforms preferred.
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines for models and solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering value through AI/ Data Science products in a fast-paced, agile environment using a scalable and reusable codebase and models to address business problems effectively.
- Direct experience in building Agents and leveraging emerging technologies within Microsoft and Google to design an agentic ecosystem.
- Experience ensuring compliance with analytics standards, including tailoring methodologies to specific use case needs such as ML, AI, and descriptive analytics.
- Ability to translate business needs into analytical frameworks & superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience in advanced analytics techniques and machine learning algorithms, including NLP, time-series analysis and other relevant methods and willingness to coach data scientists tactically.
- Ability to travel 30% dependent on project demands.
