About the role
- Co-develop the business plan with Sales and Marketing teams
- Engage with Sales and Marketing to understand drivers behind demand forecasts
- Coordinate cross-functionally to reconcile significant variances and update forecast models to reflect revised Sales and Marketing assumptions
- Use a collaborative, consensus-driven approach with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure forecasts use current and accurate information
- Challenge inputs when necessary
- Align product launches and promotions with Sales and Marketing teams
- Develop scenario simulations with demand stakeholders to test assumptions and propose alternative plan variants for approval
- Update the demand planning tool to reflect DMR discussions and approved forecasts
- Capture risks and opportunities related to forecasts
- Measure and analyze Demand Planning KPIs (e.g., SFA and bias) to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
- Own and maintain demand planning tools (FuturMaster, Excel, Power BI)
- Define and maintain FuturMaster master data
- Cleanse historical sales peaks and troughs to reflect future sales trends using statistical methods
- Capture demand drivers, build statistical forecasting models and evaluate forecast accuracy
- Anticipate potential medium-term events and manage required changes to system parameters (e.g., route-to-market changes, regulatory changes, portfolio evolution)
- Maintain a 24-month forecasting horizon using the latest available assumptions
- Serve as a key user of planning tools
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and KPIs
- Safeguard service levels in coordination with supply teams
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues that impact supply planning
- Monitor out-of-stock situations and proactively address risks from demand-supply imbalances
- Collaborate with logistics and manufacturing to provide visibility on demand activities
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Demand Planning/Forecasting, ideally within FMCG
- Familiarity with S&OP processes
- Fluent in French and English
- Experience with FuturMaster or similar demand planning software
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities
- Proven ability to deliver effective presentations using qualitative and quantitative data to influence leadership and support decision-making
