About the role
- As Marqeta's Leadership Development and Talent Management Senior Manager, you will drive our leadership and performance excellence initiatives to ensure Marqetans can reach their full potential. Reporting to the Director of Talent Development, you'll lead the design and implementation of our Leadership Accelerator programs and modernize our talent and performance processes in an AI-enabled world. You'll partner with executives and People Experience Leadership to develop leadership capabilities that support Marqeta's strategic business goals.\n
- The Impact You\'ll Have: Lead the design and implementation of Marqeta's leadership development strategy, including the Leadership Accelerator program; Drive the strategic approach, design, and implementation of our talent, performance and succession planning processes in an AI-enabled environment; Partner with executives to develop leadership capabilities and implement Betterworks for OKR management; Support the design, development, and execution of comprehensive succession planning processes, including data compilation for executive and critical roles, talent review facilitation, and preparation of board-level succession planning presentations that ensure leadership continuity and build robust talent pipelines; Integrate AI into performance coaching and leadership development while ensuring alignment with Marqeta's values and behaviors; Evaluate industry trends and best practices in Leadership Development, Performance Excellence, and Succession Planning to develop recommendations that enable People and Business leaders to drive strategic objectives forward\n
- Who You Are: Typically has 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree leading leadership development, performance management, and/or succession planning initiatives; Experience designing and implementing leadership development programs that drive measurable business impact; Experience modernizing talent processes through technology enablement and AI integration; Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders requiring both strategic vision and hands-on implementation; Excellent communication skills and ability to influence various levels of stakeholders, including C-Suite; Coaching and assessment accreditations\n
- Nice-To-Haves: Experience implementing performance management or OKR systems like Betterworks; Background in financial services or technology industries; Knowledge of AI applications in leadership development and performance management; Experience designing and facilitating in-person leadership development experiences
