About the role
- Lead and oversee all phases of specialty tax engagements, including cost segregation and R&D tax credit studies.
- Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations, communications, and deliverables.
- Review and approve technical analyses, calculations, and reports for accuracy and quality.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Associates and Senior Associates; provide real-time coaching and career development.
- Develop engagement budgets, manage project profitability, and support business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external CPAs, legal, and engineering professionals to resolve complex issues.
- Stay current on evolving tax laws, regulations, and guidance impacting specialty tax areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, engineering, or construction management preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, tax consulting, or specialty tax services.
- CPA, PE, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and supervising project teams.
