About the role

  • Develop and oversee pricing execution for the U.S. retirement plan business, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead the pricing team in evaluating and setting prices for new business and renewals, applying data-driven insights to optimize profitability and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Underwriting, Sales, and Product, to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business goals and market demands.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory changes to inform pricing decisions and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Work within established pricing governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and modeling techniques to refine pricing methodologies and improve accuracy.
  • Present complex pricing concepts and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop pricing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, actuarial science, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., FSA, ASA, CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in retirement plan pricing or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of retirement plan products, pricing methodologies, and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present to senior leaders.
  • Ability to respond to field requests in a timely manner, managing short deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting U.S. retirement plans.
