About the role

  • Assist the Operational Risk Officer of Public Markets and Global Institutional
  • Design, implement and execute an effective risk governance program
  • Oversee operational risk mitigation activities
  • Facilitate implementation of operational risk framework
  • Provide oversight over Risk and Control Self-Assessments
  • Develop Key Risk Indicators
  • Collect, review and reconcile internal/external risk incidents
  • Conduct root cause analysis and address incidents promptly
  • Design and execute scenario analysis for key risks
  • Identify emerging risks to strengthen risk oversight
  • Oversee Operational Resiliency assessments
  • Support change management for new products and strategies
  • Develop partnerships with business/functional leaders
  • Support the development and maintenance of Risk Appetite Statements and metrics
  • Contribute to developing a strong risk culture

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of risk management, finance and/or audit experience
  • A bachelor's degree is required
  • Strong working knowledge of the wealth and asset management industry and related business processes
  • Familiarity with current regulatory environment and risks and controls facing asset managers
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management program elements in financial services
  • Expertise in various public asset classes including global fixed income, global equities, and derivatives
  • Experience in the design, implementation and/or execution of Operational Risk Management framework in large financial institutions
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Proven ability to develop effective relationships with business and functional partners
  • Strong program and project management skills
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented individual
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
