About the role
- Drive client growth for data center facility solutions related to building automation systems.
- Identify and develop building management system (BMS) strategies to improve operational efficiency, sustainability, and energy performance.
- Work closely with controls engineers, sales engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders to audit current systems and develop control strategies.
- Create solution proposals and close project opportunities.
- Conduct site audits and assessments to understand facility needs and identify solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including developing opportunities through deal closure and contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate with internal teams.
- Travel for client-facing meetings and site visits (estimated 40–50%).
Requirements
- 5+ years of complex solution selling experience in building automation, energy efficiency, and critical facility/data center environments.
- Demonstrated success in developing and closing BMS, automation, or facility performance projects of $5M or more.
- Experience working with engineers, contractors, and utility incentive programs.
- Knowledge and experience with OEM building control platforms, automation architecture, and integration strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce (or comparable CRM tools) preferred.
