About the role

  • Execute in-store retail Point-of-Sale (POS) deployments across top, mid, and small-tier consumer electronic retail chains, independent stores, and retail distributors in India.
  • Launch and manage customer-facing retail campaigns and experiences designed to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Implement GTM strategies for new product launches and feature updates specifically tailored for the offline retail environment.
  • Establish channel experience and user education as core pillars of the offline strategy; own and drive education metrics while scaling local tools in partnership with global and regional stakeholders.
  • Develop robust methods to track the effectiveness of retail initiatives through performance measurement and customer research.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for in-store marketing activities, collaborating closely with Partner Business Management (PBM) teams and marketing stakeholders across India and APAC.
  • Extensive experience in the India consumer electronics retail landscape, with a deep understanding of POS deployments and distributor networks.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale retail rollouts and campaign executions within tight GTM windows.
  • Proficiency in using data and customer insights to evaluate retail strategy and ROI.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across local and regional teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in retail marketing, with specific knowledge of the technology/OEM industry,, direct experience in POS execution and channel marketing within Consumer Electronics or FMCG.
  • Proven track record in media agency management and overseeing large-scale marketing budgets.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Indian smartphone market and premium segment consumer behavior.
  • GTM & Scale: Direct experience executing Go-To-Market strategies for high-profile hardware launches and end-to-end large-scale marketing programs.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in developing measurement frameworks to track ROI and retail marketing effectiveness via customer research.
  • Training & Education: Experience building "education pillars" to train retail staff and simplify complex product features (e.g., AI/Camera tech) for consumers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to act as the primary lead for external partners, distributors, and internal cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Global Collaboration: Skill in translating global brand guidelines into culturally relevant local executions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and - ideally - fluent in another Asian language to cover projects across APAC.
