About the role
- Design and administer health and welfare benefit plans
- Manage inquiries related to benefits; research issues and provide resolutions
- Identify patterns of problems; improve processes and communication surrounding the program
- Support vendor searches, comparisons and evaluations
- Act as a SAP key business user for the benefit info types
- Create and analyze benefit program reports
- Work closely with HRIS on benefit program set up and data
- Propose and implement health and welfare programs
- Manage the annual open enrollment process
- Communicate plan changes to colleagues and employees
- Monitor cost development of plans and research high cost scenarios
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent related experience
- 7+ years previous or related experience
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery
- Must have broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office, particularly Excel
- HRIS experience is required, SAP experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills
- Prior background in human resources consulting or insurance is desirable
- CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
