About the role

  • Lead Direct Reports in Murfreesboro including Customer Service, Production & Material Planning, Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Support.
  • Develop the vision and roadmap to support the long-term strategy and future growth of the organization while managing the day to day operations of the logistics.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all facets of the logistics operation to ensure outstanding supplier relationships while achieving or exceeding all elements of our customer scorecard and plant KPIs.
  • Work collaboratively and foster strong relationships across the organization at all levels.
  • Manage the procurement of mass production raw material while balancing physical inventory and preventing line shutdown.
  • Manage warehouse operations including stock management related to shipping, cycle counts, efficiency, accuracy & stock return.
  • Establish, report, and review team measurables. Establish and track departmental budgets (expenses, inventory and transportation).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline, from a four-year college or university.
  • 10 years of experience in Logistics in a manufacturing environment (strong preference for automotive); material flow experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably covering all areas of responsibility for this position.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to use organizational agility to accomplish the goals of the business.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proven skills in strategic implementation / department optimization.
  • Extensive experience working with MRP and JIT principals.
  • Demonstration of flexibility and adaptation to a changing environment.
  • Proven & effective facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and training skills.
  • Ability to provide decisive leadership and team facilitation in the face of adversity - define tasks clearly, identify and coordinate resources, and execute a go-forward plan.
  • Ability to define goals, metrics, and levels of success for internal/external customers.
  • Proven planning abilities, including successful execution of such plans.
  • Proven execution of change management within an organization.
  • Must have strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proven success operating in a high ambiguity environment is required.
  • SAP proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Global or multi-national business experience is a plus.
  • APICS Certification (CPIM Designation) desired.
