About the role

  • Build a metrics driven solutions architect operating model that clearly demonstrates impact on deal velocity, deal size, win rates, implementation quality, and renewal outcomes, along with a consistent reporting cadence to Sales and PS leadership.
  • Define the end to end vision of success for Solutions Architects including clear expectations, competencies, and performance standards across pre sale solutioning, instructional workflow design, technical reviews, and post sale implementation support.
  • Prepare and upskill the SA team to support both SaaS and services based offerings by strengthening their consultative, instructional, technical, and implementation readiness capabilities.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between districts and internal teams by translating field insights into product, implementation, and sales strategy, and by reinforcing what successful district implementations should look like at MagicSchool.
  • Increase SA effectiveness in high impact district engagements such as demos, workshops, RFPs, pilots, and renewal rescues to support long education sales cycles.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to build processes and operating rhythms in ambiguous or zero to one environments.
  • Demonstrated success supporting strategic district engagements such as RFPs, pilots, workshops, or technical reviews.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 district landscapes including curriculum, instructional workflows, technical requirements, and AI in education.
  • Ability to influence cross functional stakeholders and align teams without authority.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the district voice internally and externally.
  • Experience in education, EdTech, instructional technology, or K-12 implementation environments.
  • Experience coaching teams in consultative storytelling, technical credibility, and high stakes presentations.
  • Experience managing Solutions Architects, Sales Engineers, or similar technical customer facing teams.
  • Experience working across pre sale and/or post sale motions in K-12 SaaS or services organizations.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Sales and Professional Services in complex or long cycle sales contexts.
  • Experience building or improving team processes, operating cadences, or performance frameworks.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with an understanding of AI tools, SSO, LMS, LTI integrations, and district IT landscapes.
