About the role
- Ensure that the airfield environment is safe for aircraft operations
- Respond to emergencies as detailed in the airport’s emergency procedure
- Responsible for the implementation of a continuous random patrol regime
- Ensure emergency services are escorted to incidents safely
- Report any breaches or incursions of airport security measures
- Manage vehicle access and egress in demarcated areas
- Facilitate the movement of airport security personnel between locations
- Conduct daily inspections and checks of the airfield and demarcated areas
Requirements
- DfT Ground Security Operative certificate
- Knowledge of undertaking airfield security patrols is essential
- Good knowledge of aviation security is essential
- Knowledge of airfield safety procedures and standards is desirable
- Must hold a ADP A and ADP M permit with current associated competencies
- Ability to manage own time and workload without supervision
- Capability to obtain a UK Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) is essential
- Must hold a full UK driving license and meet the medical criteria
