💰 $130,000 - $150,000 per year
About the role
- Lead and align M13’s marketing and network strategy across the firm
- Oversee brand amplification: digital marketing (web, social, content distribution, SEO) and in-person programming
- Own network growth: build and nurture the network of founders, LPs, and GPs via events, Slack, newsletters, and other channels
- Coordinate events & network strategy with events production team to deliver high-impact IRL experiences
- Integrate data & AI: track reach, engagement, audience specificity, and explore AI tools to scale activities
- Cross-functional collaboration: provide communication and alignment across departments
- Prioritization & execution: set KPIs, measure progress, and make trade-offs based on strategic goals
- Location: role can be based in Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY
Requirements
- Strategic marketing expertise: experience developing and implementing comprehensive marketing communications and brand strategies
- Data-driven mindset: ability to analyze key performance metrics and adjust marketing plans accordingly
- A knack for aligning stakeholders: proven track record of aligning multiple stakeholders and delivering large-scale projects end-to-end
- Network & community-building experience: evidence of successfully building, growing, and maintaining professional networks or communities
- Digital marketing & event expertise: familiarity with web, social, content, SEO, and in-person event marketing; comfort using AI-powered tools
- Strong communication & collaboration skills: excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with senior partners and cross-functional teams
- Analytical and adaptable working style: experience setting measurable KPIs and using data to refine tactics; comfortable prioritizing and saying no to non-strategic activities
- Nice to have: venture/startup ecosystem knowledge (startups, VC, accelerators)
