About the role

  • Lead the design, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Group Enterprise Risk Framework.
  • Lead the enhancement of the Group Operational Risk Framework.
  • Ensure developments in the Risk Frameworks and GRC system are effectively embedded across Business Areas and Functions.
  • Provide expert input into key regulatory and strategic initiatives.
  • Bring together cross-functional perspectives for aligned risk management practices.
  • Lead the development, optimisation, and governance of the Group’s GRC system.
  • Manage the strategic relationship with the external GRC system provider.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of designing, enhancing and embedding Enterprise and Non-Financial Risk frameworks in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong experience interpreting and applying complex regulatory requirements in practical and commercially aware ways.
  • Proven experience leading, motivating and developing a specialist team.
  • Strong understanding of PRA/FCA regulatory expectations relating to Enterprise and Non-Financial Risk within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of best practice and industry standards in relation to Enterprise and Non-Financial Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise GRC systems and their application in financial services.
