About the role
- Lead the design, maintenance and ongoing development and enhancements of the group-wide of the overall Group Risk Management Framework, including the Risk Management Policy, Risk Taxonomy and Risk Appetite Framework
- Lead the design, maintenance and ongoing development of the Enterprise Risk training materials, including the all-staff Risk mandatory training module
- Keep up to date on developing practices in enterprise risk frameworks and determine their importance and impact on M&G plc, developing and implementing changes where appropriate
- Support and coordinate communication of Enterprise Risk Framework developments to the Risk and Control Community
- Presentation of Enterprise Risk Framework related topics at various Committees and Forums, as required
- Maintain collaborative and trusted relationships between the first line and the broader Non-Financial Risk that is positive, respectful and constructive including oversight of risk culture embeddedness
- Ensure compliance to the people policies, Group Code of Conduct and embedding desired behaviours
Requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Proven track record developing Operational Risk Management Frameworks
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Self-confidence and the ability to deliver presentations
- Strong understanding of PRA/ FCA regulatory expectations relating to Enterprise Risk within financial services
- Strong understanding of best practice and industry standards in relation to Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks
- Broad understanding of the risk landscape facing M&G
- Experience in designing, enhancing and embedding Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, including Risk Appetite in a regulated financial services environment
- Strong experience of analysing and interpreting complex rules and regulations and applying such knowledge to provide solutions to business problems and issues
