About the role

  • Responsible for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Performs their duties in adherence with LYB procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Making rounds and assisting with taking readings
  • Monitoring and maintaining day-to-day unit operations
  • Learn about health, safety and environmental hazards
  • Witness the work permit system
  • Completing mandates safety and regulatory training (Computer-Based Training)
  • Engage in frequent developmental dialog with supervisor and others to continually enhance personal and group performance and development.
  • Train in area of assignment

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours of relevant technology coursework
  • Process Technology students may apply if degree was/will be received in the following semesters from an accredited school: Spring 2026, Summer 2026 or graduating in Fall 2026
  • If student is currently enrolled, they must maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
