About the role
- Responsible for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
- Performs their duties in adherence with LYB procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Making rounds and assisting with taking readings
- Monitoring and maintaining day-to-day unit operations
- Learn about health, safety and environmental hazards
- Witness the work permit system
- Completing mandates safety and regulatory training (Computer-Based Training)
- Engage in frequent developmental dialog with supervisor and others to continually enhance personal and group performance and development.
- Train in area of assignment
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours of relevant technology coursework
- Process Technology students may apply if degree was/will be received in the following semesters from an accredited school: Spring 2026, Summer 2026 or graduating in Fall 2026
- If student is currently enrolled, they must maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
